In it's far north is a vast, barely touched expanse of wilderness in Maine's great north woods along the St John River separating Maine from the New Brunswick border in the Allagash. One of the most remote areas in the Northeast this region names very few towns and commonly just names areas by number because there is so little population. Experience the drive through the wilderness on dirt roads through Maine's famous northern pines - the land where an extensive amount of the nation's pine lumber comes from. Very few public roads cross through this area while New Brunswick is just a few miles north, to the south is nearly 100 miles of un-touched wilderness home to black bear, moose and many more iconic northern wildlife. I hope you enjoy the scenic drive along the St John River in Northern Maine and its remote isolated beauty.
