Monsoon in the HIMALAYAS: Manaslu Circuit Trek | MAY 2024 | Nepal

On May 6 Chris Natsuume, who has completed multiple treks with Crystal Mountain Treks, embarked on a 20-day trek to Manaslu Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp. Chris is on a quest to trek to all 14 Base Camps of mountains over 8,000 meters. He was accompanied by CMT guide Reinji Sherpa and photographer/videographer Devraj Rai. This is a video account of their trek. They began their trek late in the Spring season and hence experienced some cloudy days and pre-monsoon rains. The Manaslu Circuit Trek circles the Manaslu massif and involves walking a total of approximately 95 miles/150 kilometers. This depends on where you choose to start and end the trek. Total altitude gain is approximately 28,860 ft./8,800 m and total altitude loss is approximately 26,140 ft/8,000 m.
