The Dolamo D-14 is a digital delay. It definitely has its own character. The contrast on the D-14 graphics was not picked up by the camera. At the bottom is 'Time', and Top left and right are 'Mix' and 'Repeat' respectively. Offhand, it seemed like the 'unity gain' on the 'Mix' knob is at 10 or 11 o'clock. Having a Distortion and Gate in one, the Caline Tigershark DCP-09 is part of Caline's 'dual pedal' series of pedals. To my surprise, I found the 'Extreme' toggle setting on the distortion side to be preferable to the 'Classic' setting. Maybe the 'Extreme' setting is a nod to Nuno Bettencourt. Be that as it may, the overall vibe of the distortion side seems kind of like a 'cocked wah' where a wah is engaged, and left in place; or a sort of 'JCM800' sound. Perhaps it is reminiscent of the 'Tantrum' pedal sound, but with less knobs. Being a 'heavy metal distortion', the circuit might be a variation on Tantrum, Red Devil, or Bounty Hunter. The gate has a lone 'noise' knob. In this test, it seemed to boost the signal when the gate side of the pedal were engaged. Even so, the gate could be useful to some players. Turning the 'noise' knob shows how it will cut out the sound as the volume fades below the setting indicated.
