Backcountry skiing demands commitment. Fatherhood changes the stakes. Edge of Fatherhood is a documentary film shot in Revelstoke, British Columbia, following professional skiers and snowboarders Samuel Bélanger-Dallaire, Seth Hill, and Yu Sasaki, as they navigate life, risk, and responsibility in the backcountry. The film goes inside the tension every backcountry skier with a family faces: how far is too far when the consequences don’t end with you? Through intimate conversations, high-consequence big-mountain skiing, and moments of quiet reflection, Edge of Fatherhood explores how becoming a father reshapes decision-making, risk tolerance, and identity in the mountains. Rather than glorifying danger, the film asks harder questions about purpose, presence, and what it means to keep pushing when other lives depend on you. It’s a story about love, fear, and the constant negotiation between passion and responsibility — played out in some of the most unforgiving backcountry terrain on earth. 🎥 A Pangea Collective Film 🏂 Athletes: Samuel Bélanger-Dallaire, Seth Hill, Yu Sasaki 🎥 Directed and filmed by: Felix Gerz 🎥 Edited by: Ethan Herman 🎥 Additional Editing: Seth Hill 🙌 Supported by: Nivis Gear • Tourism Revelstoke 🏔️ Filmed on location in: Revelstoke, BC
