In today's episode: Hi guys today I am going to talk you through the dive site at Las Eras. Las Eras is a small village on the East coast of Tenerife. It is a shore dive so we will entre from the beach, to waist height and then put our fins on. Once we have them on we will swim out to where it is deep enough for us to descend. We will then swim out of the bay, turn left and be on the dive site itself. The rock formation will be on out left hand side on the dive on the way out and on our right on the swim back. There are many overhangs that can have lots of different marine life in. look out for the sleeping Atlantic Stingray, octopus, trumpet fish, saipia or cuttle fish (as we call them in England). Our maximum depth was 21m however the dive site does go down to around 28m. There is a very beautiful swim through at 14m that is marked with a very special statue of a laughing Buda. We always rub his belly for luck before going through the tight passage, as you will see on the video. On the way back we will go back through the cavern, meet at the other side and swim up and over the rockface to 7 meters deep and start our return to the bay, doing our 5 meter safety stop on route. When we see the old buoy at around 4 meters we turn right and head back in to the shallow waters of the bay and finish the dive there. Now sit back and enjoy the video.
