The department of Urdu, University of Jammu today organized a Book Release in the seminar hall of the computer science department university of Jammu. "Durr-e-Nayab an Autobiography of Late Wali Mohd Itoo, Ex. Speaker J&K legislative Assembly who was killed by militants in 1994 in Jammu. The Autobiography is written by the daughter of the Wall Mohd Ittoo Ms. Sakeena Masood Itoo, Hon'ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education & Social Welfare. Departments. Jb A R Rather Hon'ble Speaker JK legislative Assembly presided over the function. Prof. Umesh Rai Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Prof. Zaman Azurdha, Ex Head and Dean Kashmir University were the Guest of honour. Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, HOD Urdu in his welcome address in detail threw light on the life and public contribution of Wali Mohd Ittoo and described him a social worker par excellence. He was down to earth who fought for the poor people of his constituency. He did his M.A from Kashmir University and L.L.B from Aligarh Muslim University. He was a teacher, a leader and a through Gentle Man. Dr Shehnawaz Parveen presented a detail paper on the book "Durr-e-Nayab" in which she described Sakeena Itto a daughter of brave father who has beautifully pen down the life and works of Wali Mohd Ittoo in "Durr-e-Nayab". The program was attended by University Teachers, Civil Society Member, scholars and students. Dr Farhat Shamim conducted the proceeding of the Programe while Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmad presented Vote of thanks. Dr Chaman lal, Dr Abdul Rashid Manhas, Dr Abdul Qayoom, Dr Javaid Ahmed Shah and Dr Jug Mohan were also present on the occasion.
