Welcome back to History with Seb! We create animated history videos. This video is about the Second Sino-Japanese War from July 1937 to September 1945. The Second Sino-Japanese War, which lasted from 1937 to 1945, was a major conflict between China and Japan that preceded and then became part of World War II. Sparked by the Marco Polo Bridge Incident in 1937, Japan launched a full-scale invasion of China, capturing major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanjing, the latter of which witnessed the notorious Nanjing Massacre. The war saw large-scale atrocities and civilian casualties. Despite facing internal divisions and receiving limited external assistance, Chinese resistance persisted throughout the war. The conflict merged into the broader theatre of World War II following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
