Vintage zoom lens on Leica SL2-S, shooting both still and video, at the same time. It is perfocal (mostly). You can do crash zoom, like Tarantino. Focus breathing is “tolerable”, which means, if you do rack focus demo with still objects in indoor setting, yes, you will see focus breathing. (All vintage still photo lenses do.) HOWEVER, as you can see in the opening of this video, if you do it with moving object, outdoor setting, it’s totally acceptable. About being F4. It’s not as bad as you may think, especially if it is on full frame (or speed booster). Because it is F4, the lens is plenty sharp even when it’s fully open. And because of focal length, it will blur out both foreground and background nicely. Rotating front element Makes it a little tricky, to use VND and CPL filters. Pretty much impossible to use mat box(which I don’t use anyway.) Probably I will make another video about it.
