In this Israeli premiere of the oratorio, Herzog made a point to preserve the original construction of the work, bringing out and enhancing Falvetti’s creative melodic, harmonic and dramatic developments, as well as his subtle interaction of movements which build a breathtaking outcome. The oratorio has been conceived for five singers (Dialogo a cinque voci) and thus is presented, displaying the interpreters’ versatility as an extra attraction.
