Is this the best gratin dish you can buy? ADDITIONAL NOTES: (These either didn't make the final cut in the video, or, most likely, I completely forgot to mention them.) -- The knob in the lid is made of metal. -- The gratin is oven safe up to 500 degrees F. -- The underside of the lid has lots of raised little "swoosh" marks that are supposed to help keep food basted with moisture that condenses up there during cooking. They are a little differently shaped than the ones in Staub dutch ovens. -- Staub is part of the Zwilling umbrella of companies, which makes knives, Demeyere pans, and other stuff too. -- It's a 3-quart/2.8 liter model. -- The box says it can be used on induction (I didn't try that) and says that occasionally it's OK to put in the DISHWASHER. Good lord, I really didn't try that. -- The box also points out that it is "Food Safe"... I had assumed that, but nice to have official confirmation!
