I am delighted to finally bring you a nail makers cottage! This Nailers cottage is at Avoncroft Museum of Historical buildings in Bromsgrove. Built during the Victorian period as a one up one down dwelling for nail makers and their families this cottage it evolved with the times and with the families who called in home. The cottage is now displayed as it was when the Homer Family lived there from the early 20th Century during the 1930s. It contains the most beautiful range I have ever seen and glorious 1930s detailing - the "best room" in the house really is sensational! You know I love bringing you my "Who lives in a house like this" episodes and this one could be one of my favourites yet. To visit the Nail Makers Cottage yourself it can be found at Avoncroft, near Bromsgrove. It is a beautiful Living History Museum ran by mostly volunteers since 1967. Alongside the Nailers Cottage you can find a Prefab, prison cells, tin church and Medieval manor house amongst others. It is also totally dog (and child) friendly so you can have a lovely, historical day out with the whole family. I am Lucy, a social historian, teacher and your serially nosy friend, I just love the history of "normal people" but I am also partial to the odd palace too - I make my videos so you can relax and enjoy, no loud music or shouting, just a space to unwind and allow yourself to travel back in time. I film, edit, research and script all my own films and I absolutely love it! Please consider joining me a subscriber to the channel, it is free and really helps me explore further and research harder! The comments section is full of the most wonderful history lovers and is a kind and considerate community - I am very lucky, and would love for you to join us. #socialhistory #historichome #museumvlog #museumtour #heritagepreservation #1930s #1930shome #1900s #cottage #englishheritage #britishhistory #historichouse #historichometour #relaxingvideos #museumexploration #cosycottage #wholivesinahouselikethis
