Catch and Cook Remora? Trash Fish Taste Test

Check out Ep:2 of fishing taste test. On this adventure I went out in search of a "trash fish" called a Remora. If you aren't familiar with Remora they are the fish you see that ride the back of sharks and eat the leftovers. I guess you could say it's sort of a parasite. None the less I was determined to catch one then bring it home to see how it taste. This turned out to be one taste test that i'll never forget. Once I left the dock it only took about 30 minutes to catch one. After cleaning the fish I headed for the kitchen to heat up the grease and get my blind taste testers ready. My mom and sisters know nothing about fishing so convincing them to be on this episode was easy. I quickly pan fried the fish and then we tried it. To my surprise it wasn't half bad. In fact it was somewhat tasty. I can't say much for the smell though. It was one of the worst smelling fish I have ever cooked. It was a successful day and another interesting fishing trip. I wouldn't necessarily call this a fishing fail.
