Scuba Diving with Deep Sea Creatures in Trondheim Fjord, Norway

We went diving in Trondheim Fjord in search of deep sea creatures. 🔍Normally, these animals live far below the limits of recreational scuba diving, but Trondheim is special. ☀️The fjord has a unique layer of dark, fresh water near the surface that blocks sunlight from penetrating deeper. 🌚This creates perfect conditions for deep sea species that usually hide from the light. We were lucky to spot several Chimaera monstrosa, also known as ghost sharks or "havmus" in Norwegian. We also had an amazing encounter with the beautiful helmet jellyfish - Periphylla periphyll, fascinating deep sea jellyfish. Another fish in video is common ling - molva molva an halibut resting on ghost net The top layer of water was full of swaying kelp and seaweed, with golden sunbeams shining through.
