THE LAST CROSSING @ KULAI 🇲🇾🚆KTM Intercity Ekspres Selatan 46up x Ekspres Selatan 45dn

Kulai Temporary Railway Station commenced operations on 2 September 2021 to facilitate the construction of the Gemas-Johor Bahru EDTP and new Kulai Railway Station. It is located approximately 3.4 km from the old Kulai Railway Station. The daily scheduled crossing of Ekspres Selatan 46up and Ekspres Selatan 45dn is the last of its kind on the single-track operations on the Southern Line. Once the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP) is about to be complete, trains will pass on their own directional track without the need to wait for crossing. Kulai Railway Station is the last new station to open on the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP). The Gemas-Johor Bahru EDTP is still under construction and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. Once the Gemas-Johor Bahru EDTP is completed, the new Kulai Railway Station will be part of a modernized rail network that will significantly reduce travel times in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
