How to Grow Apple Trees From Seed! Happy Labor Day Everyone! Time for an Apple Tree Update! I started these Gala Apple Trees grown from seeds (out of store bought Gala Apples) on 1/1/2016 so they turned 32 months old (or 2 and a half years old) on September 1st, 2018! In this video, I'll be showing you my two 32 Month old Apple trees, my three 26 month old Apple Trees, as well as update you on the fruit sets we have. As you know, it's rare to get a tree grown from seed to flower before 4 years, let alone set fruit! But we did manage to achieve that - now the question is whether or not they will become edible fruits or crab apples... FYI - The tallest one is about 12 feet tall now with several branches! I am not sure if the fruit sets we have on the young apple tree will be full-sized apples as they haven't grown much since the last update... It could be for a number of reasons: 1) 100 degree temps for several months now 2) The tree is just very young and can't sustain larger fruit 3) This apple tree grown from seed is just a green crab apple tree We'll give it the full 200 days to maturity and then we'll harvest the small apples and find out if they taste like crab apples or just small immature green apples... 2 months away from the verdict - wish me luck!
