Research and Development at CCMIJU

The Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre Foundation is one of the 29 ICTS in Spain that makes its large facilities, resources, equipment, and innovative know-how available to the national and international scientific community. Through the Nanbiosis Platform, it offers services for the design, production, and characterization of biomaterials and nanomaterials, tissues, devices, and medical systems from a physical, chemical, functional, toxicological, and biological point of view, focused on medical practice. The Foundation's research group is part of one of the 40 that make up the CIBER-CV, whose objective is to reduce the impact of cardiovascular diseases. It is also part of the TERAV research network to promote the translation of scientific advances to the National Health System and is an active member of several technological platforms. It has more than 12 lines of research, highlighting surgical robotics, research in cardiovascular diseases, virtual reality and 3D printing, personalized medicine, and innovative public procurement proposals.
