If you can’t register online, you can download a form to send to your local authority. If you need support, contact your Local Traveller organisation or Primary Health Care Project or contact your local Citizens Information Office. If you’ve not voted before and want to know what to ask General Election candidates about when it comes to Traveller and Roma rights, keep watching this video. Pavee Point is asking election candidates to make Traveller and Roma human rights and equality a priority in the next government. We want politicians to agree to take action and support policies and plans to make health, employment and education better for Travellers and Roma. The gaps are too wide in these areas and Travellers and Roma are being left behind. We want action on Traveller and Roma homelessness - almost half of Travellers are effectively homeless. We need decent homes for young Traveller families. While we have new laws on hate crime we need new laws on hate speech. Groups targeted for hate need to be protected. We need to say no to hate. To help make all this happen we need more support for independent national and local Traveller organisations You can ask election candidates in your area, whether they commit to these actions. Let’s make Ireland free from racism and discrimination, and make sure all Travellers and Roma can fully realise their potential, and be fully respected members of minority ethnic groups. A Traveller vote = a Traveller voice A Roma vote = a Roma voice
