Thousands of spectators lined the streets of Lyttelton, Christchurch, as some of the country's top mountain bikers dropped in on the streetscape. The third Lyttelton Urban Downhill mountain bike event was held during the weekend with 70 competitors from New Zealand and Australia riding the 1.2km course - with a 160m vertical drop - from Somes Rd to London St. Top Kiwi rider Cam Cole took out the event for a second consecutive year with a time of one minute 36 seconds, while popular rider Wyn Masters claimed the silver medal for the third time in a row.
