One bored afternoon, I drove 30 minutes outside of the center of Bali to visit the Sangeh Monkey Forest. This under-the-radar spot is hardly visited, overshadowed by the more famous Sacred Monkey Forest in the heart of Ubud. That makes it an excellent place to come and hang out with the monkeys (as well as adding a row to your Instagram page). Entry is only 15,000 Rupiah vs. the 40,000 Rupiah to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest in the center of Ubud. Parking is also free.
