Singaraja Bali Snippets 15 Minute City Tours Part 6: A Ride Through the City The sixth in the walking tours of Singaraja series. These are short 15 minutes or less videos on the city of Singaraja. They are walking tours for the most part, although occasionally I will be filming on my motorcycle. Today is a motorcycle video. My wife, my future son-in-law, my oldest daughter and I had to go to the religious affairs office for some bureaucratic waste of time. They took the car, I took the motorcycle so that I could test how the DJI Osmo Pocket works when attached to the handlebars. This was for comparison purposes with my Brica go pro like mini camera. No comparison. The Pocket works great on the bike filming at 4K. We start out from home, drive up Jl. Imam Bonjol – the site of the last video – then continue on down Jalan Gajah Mada and then over to Jalan Ngurah Rai. From there we connect with Jalan Udayana cruising past some of the eateries that were opened some time in the past and then end up at Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) or the Religious Affairs Office. After making my appearance, I head on back home down Udayana to Jalan Dewi Sartika (the southern part that I haven't videoed yet) and then on to Jalan Merak. The last video in this series included part of Jalan Merak. Today I drive down the whole street, past seveal of the monster trucks that often lumber down Merak on their way east. Finally I cruise down Jalan Pattimura, a narrow but highly busy street. I put a few links for some restaurants that I passed by today. I haven't eaten in any of them but they look interesting. I'm planning on visiting a few of these maybe next week when we have the whole family here for the wedding. If you are in Singaraja, you might want to check them out and let me know what you think.
