How to Make a DIY Racing CDI Box for Motorcycles | Fix your Weak Spark!

In this video, I show you how to build a high-performance racing CDI for motorcycles, designed especially for 2-stroke engines (single or twin exhaust, around 250cc). This DIY CDI can also be adapted for many 4-stroke setups, as long as the bike uses an AC ignition system. 🟦This custom circuit uses two high-sensitivity thyristors for faster response and limited ignition advance capability. The main storage capacitor (C1) handles charge buildup and releases it instantly when triggered. For best performance, always use quality polyester or MKP capacitors to keep the CDI stable under high RPM. Cheap components can cause weak spark output or inconsistent timing. 🟩To install it, place the unit inside a proper plastic enclosure. 🟪To add a kill switch, you just need to connect your kill-switch wire to the CDI through a rectifier diode such as a 1N4007.
