Video transcription Michelle: I ended up at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates because I was having pain in my shoulder and I had been going to my doctor for a while I want to say probably at least a year, year and a half with this pain in my shoulder that we tried to treat and then we did an MRI we did some scans and found out it was actually my neck that was causing the issue. And I received a referral to Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates and was sent to see Dr. Deshmukh and immediately upon seeing him I felt a sense of comfort a sense of "Ok this is going to be taken care of." Vinay Deshmukh, MD, FACS: My goal with every patient encounter is really to treat, treat patients like family. Treat patients like I would want to be treated when I'm in an office or in the hospital. Michelle: It was actually kind of a lengthy process that we went through a number of different types of treatments prior to the surgery and then it came the point where surgery was kind of our last option and really needed to happen just based on what was going on with my body. So before the surgery, a day for me would be going to work coming home and limiting my activities just because I was in pain all of the time. After surgery, a day for me now is going to work leaving work going to the gym being at the gym for an hour to two hours even to the extent that I was able to obtain my fitness certification. So my experience with Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates has been awesome. Every time I come in I feel like they are definitely care they care about how I feel, how I'm doing. They are always very attentive. They're very nice and very professional so it's always a pleasure to come here I don't feel like I'm rushed in and rushed out. I feel like they listen and they respond they give me options and they're definitely thorough with their treatment.
