This is an au edit of Amelia Shepherd and Lexie Grey. Enjoy ☺️ ~story~ Amelia has problems with her drug addiction and Addison eventually persuades her to seek help and check in to a home. Lexie Grey has also been addicted to drugs for many years and is one day found on the street after an overdose. She gets rushed to the hospital where they fortunately saves her. She meets a doctor, Jackson to encourages her to seek help. He tells her about this home/clinic that help young men and women with similar problems and tells her that they will be like a family to her. Lexie checks in as well and the first evening Lexie and Amelia meets in the kitchen. Lexie hates it there and want to get out as fast as possible. Therefore she follows all their rules to the fullest and eventually gets checked out. Amelia tells her that she will be able to do whatever she want. She herself became a doctor, and tells Lexie that they are family now and that she will help her anytime as soon as she gets out. After Amelia comes home again she starts working at Seattle Grace. One day Mark comes in and carries Lexie who has been found after another overdose. When Amelia finds out she rushes there in panic. Luckily they saves her again and Amelia tells her that she need to do something with her life. After being rescued many times, Lexie realises she wants to help people as well and begin the medical program. From the beginning she will do her internship on another hospital but ends up at Seattle Grace. Amelia hears about it and volunteers as internship chief. Lexie becomes part of her team and there relationship grows stronger. Eventually Lexie starts having feelings for Amelia and she’s pretty sure Amelia has feelings for her as well until she sees her with Mark. She confronts Amelia about it but she says Lexie shouldn’t care about who she sleeps with. Amelia slept with Mark because she has been in love with Lexie since they stayed at the home but have always thought Lexie didn’t love her like that. Lexie then tells Amelia about her feelings that she’s pushed down for almost a year and they get engaged and married. After a year a brain tumour is discovered in Amelia’s brain. They operates it but the surgery is hard and Amelia only has 50/50 chance of survival. When the surgery is all done and Amelia is cancer free she still has a long way to go until she’s recovered and it is hard for Lexie to stand behind and watch it. It affects her so much that she can’t sleep or eat, and she begings to self harm. She wants to take drugs again to stop feeling so much but manage to stay clean. Four years after Amelia has recovered, Lexie gets in a plane crash and gets badly hurt. She understands that she will die and her last wish is for the survivors of the crash to tell Amelia how much she loves her. When Owen gets the news he tells Amelia who completely falls apart. She’s seconds away from start using again but Owen stops her and comfort her.
