Right here in Winnipeg, we have this amazing hip hop scene. Now you're probably thinking: "I don't like hip hop." And that's okay. But some hip hop artists are starting to morph the sound into something a little more Gen X friendly. And to prove that to you, CBC Radio 3's Ab-Originals podcast team created an exclusive video. It features well-known Manitoba artist and CBC colleague Wab Kinew and his good friend Lorenzo as part of the Hip Hop Summit. They have blended rap, acoustic guitar, a hand drum and some traditional singing. The pros that Wab and Lorenzo are, recording the song in ONE TAKE. The video was short in three hours and edited within a 24 hour period, thanks to transmedia guru Jim Agapito and trusty sidekick Ivan Hughes. But enough with the credits. Roll tape!
