Mezi Horami - Czech Moravian Folk Song (Live Cover)

Mezi Horami (aka Lipka Zelená) is a traditional Moravian folk song typically played in a slow melancholic way. The lyrics speak of poor Janek being shot instead of a stag and his loved one Anička mourning the loss (the lyrics are in the captions). The song became quite popular mainly thanks to the band Čechomor and their critically acclaimed album of the same name - Mezi Horami (1996) - which includes their beautiful rendition of the song. Another contributing factor was the use of this song in a well-known Czech film called Rok ďábla.
