A visit to Funchal, on the island of Madeira, Portugal. It starts from the cruise harbor in Funchal, along the Avenida do Mar, towards the Mercado dos Lavradores farmer's market. Here, one can buy different maracuja passion fruit varieties, various Pithaya dragon fruit, hot pepper seeds or spices. Then, next to the Rotunda do Infante fountain, a visit to the Parque de Santa Catarina park, where one can observe the fountains, lilies, or Strelitzia flowers. The ride continue up and onwards, to the Pico dos Barcelos Mirador view point, to admire the island from atop. Then, towards Camara de Lobos, one can observe the numerous banana plantations, then the little gulf and harbor. Back towards the city center, one can see the black sand and rocky beach of Praia Formosa, then various hotels by the ocean.
