2025 Changan Avatr 06 in-depth Walkaround The 2025 Avatr 06 sedan has officially begun presales in China at a starting price of $29,750. This mid-size sedan comes in both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) versions, offering consumers a choice between pure electric power and a hybrid setup for extended driving range. With a sleek, modern design and advanced technological features, the Avatr 06 aims to deliver both performance and efficiency. Sales are expected to commence in Q2 2025, making it one of the most anticipated EV launches in China. In terms of dimensions and design, the Avatr 06 measures 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase, providing a spacious cabin. The exterior adopts the Avatr 2.0 design language, featuring double-layered running lights, integrated headlights, hidden door handles, a blackened roof, and a ducktail spoiler, giving it a futuristic and aerodynamic look. Inside, the cabin is designed for a premium user experience, boasting an oval-shaped steering wheel, column-mounted gear shifter, push-button door mechanisms, and a center console with illuminated branding, dual wireless charging pads, and a hidden storage compartment. The powertrain options include a BEV version with either a 252 kW (338 hp) rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or a 440 kW (590 hp) all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration, powered by a 72.9 kWh LFP battery from CATL, delivering a 600–650 km range (CLTC cycle). The EREV version combines a 231 kW (310 hp) single e-motor with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 115 kW (154 hp), offering two LFP battery choices (31.7 kWh or 45.06 kWh) for an electric range of 170–240 km. The Avatr 06 also has advanced technology and safety features, including the Huawei Qiankun ADAS system, Harmony OS, intelligent driving assistance, and an Intelligent Parking Assist System, ensuring a high-tech and convenient driving experience.
