We recently renewed our vows in celebration of 10 years together and if you know us, you know we are huge Disney fans, so it only seemed right to welcome friends and family with their own Disney magic of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Hand designed Disney cookies. To achieve the rich black on Mickey Mouse, we used gel color by ChefMaster, linked below; and allowed the color to set in the royal icing overnight. Don't keep adding more color. You don't want people's teeth to be black for those photos. Give it time to settle in so it achieves that dark color; same with the red. To prevent any color bleed, ensure to add white ChefMaster gel to your royal icing before adding any additional colors. For clean lines around these Disney Wedding Cookies, I use tipless pastry bags and cut a very small hole. The most important piece is to take your time and to allow the royal icing to flow out naturally, not pushing too hard. Allow your colors to set using a Dehydrator (linked below) if you are low on time. If not, you can set for an hour or so before beginning your detailed scroll work.
