Hawk Mk.167 from RAF Leeming and Hawk T2 along with Texans of RAF Valley make some fantastic passes with superb sounds. Yes, Nikos actually didn't miss any Hawks on this visit! Maybe this had something to do with him practicing at RAF Valley the day before! Qatar ordered Hawk Mk167's, with the countries interests and purchases of the Eurifighter Typhoon. RAF Leeming acts as a training station like RAF Valley but for the Qatari Emiri Air Force. At RAF Coningsby, 12 Squadron is the joint Qatari Emiri Air Force/RAF Typhoon squadron. RAF Valley is the training station for the future gen Royal Air Force front-line fighter pilot. The pilot, completing their training at RAFC Cranwell, will come to Valley and start with the Texan, before going on to the Hawk T2, the last aircraft before flying the Typhoon or F-35B. There are 20 low flying areas in the UK, numbered 1-20 and The Mach Loop, in North Wales is a Low Flying Area 7 (LFA7). Operational low flying is an essential skill and is practised by fixed wing aircraft between 100 feet and 250 feet; a more representative altitude at which pilots would fly in a combat scenario. The final decision to use a TTA is taken on the day itself as this kind of training can only take place when weather conditions allow. When a TTA is active, routine low flying by other military users can take place between 500 feet and 2000 feet. When the TTA is not in use standard low flying training is permitted down to 250 feet and helicopters down to ground level. Late spring and summer are the busiest times for low flying as squadrons make full use of good weather to carry out their training. The popular places at the Mach Loop are known as Cad West, where the car park is, and Cad East, which is where we were situated. Cad West has a car park and has a convenient footpath to take you up to the western side. However, when you park here, in front of you is Cad East. There are two ways to get up to the top; first, you can safely cross the road and making your own way up to the top. On the other hand, the second option, is to drive up using a road near a farm. It will involve opening and closing gates to keep the farmers sheep in, and carefully parking your car. #machloop #lowflyingarea #lfa7 #trending #Wales #f15 #f35 #tedconingsby #fighterjet #themachloop #typhoon #eurofighter #lowflying #love #life #snowdonia Official Ted Coningsby Merchandise https://tedconingsby.co.uk/shop/ noTEDS https://tedconingsby.co.uk/noteds/ Ted Social stuff Instagram Β Β /Β ted_coningsbyΒ Β Facebook Β Β /Β tedconingsbyukΒ Β X Β Β /Β tedconingsbyΒ Β www.tedconingsby.co.uk Ted Coningsby Membership: Join our channel to get access to members only perks.
