Distance: 26.91 (16.7 Miles) Ascent: 131m (430ft) Duration: 7 Hours 25 Minutes The Hadrian's Wall Path is one of the UK's excellent National Trails and covers 84 miles of Northern England. Beginning at Wallsend in Newcastle, the Way follows a majority of the original line of Hadrian's Wall, a Roman Wall at the frontier of the Roman Empire to stop the Scots in the the north. The trail eventually ends at Bowness on Solway on the Cumbrian Coast. The final day walking the Hadrian's Wall Path. The route began at Carlisle and ended at Bowness-on-Solway, stopping at several small villages along the way including Burgh-by-Sands and Drumburgh.
