Hi Guys, you join me on one of the most famous marks in South Wales, Lavernock sand spit. Typically people fish this venue for blond rays, but today we are targeting a specie that gets look passed by most fisherman and that is the dover sole. This is one of the best times of the year for the sole and its a fish I love to target and don't seem do it enough, so with very few people fishing this venue at the minute I thought, why not have a go. It was a tough session but not long before I was going to leave I managed to catch a nice sole, nothing of a massive size but its always nice to set out for a specific specie and succeed. Fishing this venue for the sole, distance isn't important, so three hook flappers and 3oz plane leads baited with rag and blow lug do the job.
