HC to hear Mamata Banerjee's election petition against Suvendu Adhikari's victory in Nandigram

The Election Petition filed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Calcutta High Court to challenge Suvendu Adhikari's election victory in the Nandigram constituency in the West Bengal Assembly Elections will be heard on Thursday next week (June 24). After the subject was mentioned before the bench, Justice Kaushik Chandra set the matter for next week, and Banerjee's counsel Soumendra Nath Mukherjee requested the bench to keep the matter for next week's directives. The Bench granted his motion and asked the registry to set the subject for hearing on June 24. In the meantime, the Court has requested a report on whether the petition was submitted in accordance with the Representation of People Act.
