This film follows my first days in Lahore- moving through the city by cooking, eating street food, and spending time in places shaped by centuries of daily use. It begins with arrival in Lahore and settles into the rhythm of the city: quiet hotel mornings, movement through the streets by bike, and the slow reveal of its food culture. From karahi cooked hot and fast to slow-built nihari, from neighborhood grills to handmade ice cream, the focus stays on process, repetition, and the way food is prepared and eaten in public view. Along the way, Lahore’s history remains present. The Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan Mosque, Lahore Museum, and the still-functioning GPO offer context without separating the past from everyday life. These aren’t preserved backdrops—they’re active parts of the city. The film moves between street food, cooking, music, conversation, and observation, ending above the old city at Cuckoo’s Den, where Lahore’s scale becomes clear. This isn’t a guide or a checklist.
