Imaging of the spinal cord, part 1: Anatomy, terminology & compressive myelopathy. This is the first video in a short series on imaging of the spinal cord & spinal cord disease, providing you with a general differential diagnostic approach to patients with myelopathy. When confronted with a spinal cord lesions (generally a T2-hyperintensity) three questions are important: 1) Is this a real lesion or an artefact? 2) Is there extrinsic compresson of the spine. 3) Does the patient have acute, subacute or chronic symptoms. In this first video we'll discuss artefacts and compressve myelopathy.
