Yes, I finally got to complete this quest! Even if it involved a few surprises at the beginning. Sadly, my recording froze at one point and I lost the video segment where I was entering the code, so I had to reload an old save and try it again... except the latest save I had from before I entered the code was one from before I got access to the area where the code was, so the result was... you'll see. And I said Hidden Temple instead of Lost Shrine, sorry about that. I liked the "Lost" theme in the names of the rooms, especially with the pun in the last one. And I finally got all the chests on Gaia's Garden! And yes, I did get EXP from that boss. 119 EXP to be precise. And since I'm still getting full EXP from completing quests, I believe the Golden Chest Plate is not so bad after all, at least for the time being. Now we can go back to our regular update schedule.
