New Bahama Fees (Our Take), Radar Down & Reef Shark Patrol on a Nordhavn

Join us for West Caicos diving and liveaboard boat life in the Turks & Caicos Islands. We have perfect mooring ball adventures, crystal-clear snorkeling, coral gardens, and a wall drop-off just a short swim from the boat. We jump in and immediately get the welcome committee; a blacktip reef shark, a squad of jacks, and our usual “always watching” barracuda. Above water and on shore we check out West Caicos’ Lake Catherine, A salt pond where you might spot flamingos. Then it’s time to point the bow toward the Bahamas for an overnight run to Clarence Town with a beautiful sunrise included, sleep not guaranteed. We also get into the real stuff cruisers care about: the new Bahamas fees, the AIS requirement (50ft+), and a classic “boat gremlin” moment where our Furuno navigation network gets bumped loose and suddenly radar/depth decide to take the day off. 🤦‍♀️ Plus: swells, flopper stoppers, and we’ll gladly take your best seasickness tips.
