Mrs. Fisher’s Baked Beans 3-4 slices of bacon 8 ounce package mini sausages, brown & serve, cut into 1/2 “ pieces 3 (15 ounce) cans pork & beans 1/2 of a 21 ounce can apple pie filling 1/4 - 1/3 cup A-1 sauce 2-3 Tablespoons molasses Brown the bacon in a 2 quart pan or Dutch oven over medium heat. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the drippings in the pan. Lower the heat to medium low and add sliced sausages. Brown. Add the remaining ingredients. Crumble the bacon. Add it to the pan and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, or bake at 375°F for 1 hour. NOTE: We had beans leftover, and they were delicious warmed up a couple of days later!
