Hi, John with etrailer. If you're looking to upgrade your refrigerator to an off-grid style, whether it's a travel trailer, a motor home, or if you are setting up a homestead with solar power, then check this option out. This is the Furrion Arctic 12 volt side by side residential style refrigerator, and we've installed it on our travel trailer. So when I was growing up, the options that we had for off-grid style cooling was obviously ice, and I'm not that old, but propane absorption fridges. And with the advancements of lithium batteries and solar panels, this is rapidly becoming the new option. Propane is fine. A lot of travel trailers will still come with a propane style absorption fridge that's also rated for AC power like you could just plug it in at your house. But going down the road, you have your own set of challenges with propane. You have some maintenance that you need to do as far as keeping insects and everything out of the back. There's been fires. I don't like to call anything unsafe, but you have maintenance that you need to follow with those refrigerators. A fridge like this where it's just a single source power 12 volt, it's gonna end up being a safer option. It's a great option for you to have your fridge cooling while you're going down the road. The setup that we have today, we've got a number of solar panels on the top and a large battery bank, and this is absolutely the way to go for this scenario. So as far as the displays, I like the front mounted displays on the refrigerator. You're gonna have both the fridge and freezer temp that you can access anytime just to make sure everything's cooling properly. You've got a control lockdown here. And some of the functions that I like is it will have a, like an off-grid mode where it changes the temperatures a little bit. Now, this isn't something that you would wanna use all the time. It's if you wanna conserve power, say it's a cloudy day out there, and your battery bank isn't the strongest, this is an option that you can do, and it'll still keep things within a safe range. So that's the off-grid version. We've also got a super freezer mode where it'll kick down and run the compressor for a predetermined amount of time. Same thing with the super fridge mode on this side. Basically, this is like my refrigerator at home. If you go grocery shopping and you load this thing up with groceries, you want those things to cool down as fast as possible. So it will run the compressor at a predetermined time continuously to get your groceries down to the temperature they need to be, so ultimately, they stay fresher. Now, speaking of off-grid, some things to keep in mind is the power consumption. Now, this fridge does have a compressor, so it's got a 12 volt compressor down there. So this is gonna draw more power than a traditional like absorption fridge. So that's something to keep in mind. It's rated for 20 amps, so it can draw up to 19 amps, and that's probably startup. It's not gonna run at 19 amps, but that is considerably more power to think about. As far as the off-grid rating, Furrion rates this at 5.3 amp hours at 77 degrees, so you kind of have a baseline number there to think about. Obviously, whether or not your fridge is loaded or empty, the temperature outside, the humidity, all that's gonna come into factor for that kind of timeframe. Now, as far as stylings go, obviously, this is a side by side, and this is our stainless model. So the stainless is gonna be the finish here, but keep in mind, this has got a glass front on it too. Now, if you want, we also have a black version of this, which is gonna be, they call it black glass, but our stainless isn't really a stainless front up here. So that's something that you can't see on the camera. As far as the inside goes, you have 15.6 cubic feet of room in here. Now, these are glass shelves, and they can come out and you have some adjustments at the bottom. You're gonna have two plastic drawers on either side. You got two on the refrigerator side and two on the freezer side. As far as the door shelves, these are plastic, but they're adjustable as well on both sides. You got LED lighting up on the top. The freezer side is no frost, and that's a nice feature, especially in a camp
