My Journey with Scoliosis: Logan McGill at TEDxYouth@ISASOakridge

My name is Logan McGill and I am a junior at Greenhill school. Swimming is my passion, but I also enjoy running and playing the piano. I have been swimming since I was in the second grade and I am planning on continuing it at the collegiate level. The summer before 8th grade I was diagnosed with scoliosis and was prescribed a back brace. Thankfully, the brace did not slow me down and made me stronger as a person. I enjoy sharing my story to anyone who would like to know and am so thankful I have the opportunity to stand up and speak in front of people about my journey with scoliosis. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
