[4K] Storm Surge at Thorpe Park, join us on this Spinning Rapids water ride with fantastic views of Amity and the rest of the Thorpe Park resort. Storm Surge is a Spinning Rapids water ride manufactured by WhiteWater West. It is located in the Amity area of the park, and opened in March 2011 The ride was relocated from Cypress Gardens Florida when this park was acquired by Merlin Entertainments and transformed into Legoland Florida. The ride contains a 19.5-meter lift hill and gradually spins to the bottom of the slide. The ride area also includes the park's main gift and snack shop, the Thorpe Mega Store, which sells clothing and souvenirs and The Doughnut Factory which is a small snack kiosk selling refreshments.
