AB Roadrunners 8/2019 RV Living ; Hartsel was founded in 1880. The namesake of the area was a man named Samuel Hartsel. Mr. Hartsel arrived in Park County in 1860 becoming a local cattle rancher. He raised animals and planted crops. He set the ground work of the town. The South Platte River flows through the town offering fishing, rafting, hiking and so much more with its beauty.
