Arizona Musicfest Scottsdale Serenade Featuring Leo Kubota, Cello Alfredo Carlo Piatti: Caprice in C Major for Solo Cello, Op. 25, No. 7 Videographer: Brendan Anderson In Celebration of Arizona Musicfest's 30th Anniversary Season as well as the one-year anniversary of our new home in North Scottsdale, we are proud to present Scottsdale Serenade, a tour of some beloved sites in our beautiful city. Accompanying us on this journey is an extraordinary Young Musician, Leo Kubota. Leo, 17, is an outstanding participant in Arizona Musicfest’s Youth Performance Programs. Leo has twice earned First Prize in the Musicfest Young Musicians Competitions, both as a soloist and as a member of The Kubota Duo, a violin & cello duo with his sister Rina (2019 Musicfest College Scholar). Leo has been featured in two Young Musicians Concerts and also participated in an Access to Artistry masterclass featuring guest artists Trio Solisti. A student of Dr. Thomas Landshoot, Leo is currently a senior at Corona Del Sol High School.
