And soon King Saul showed all his strength and courage by defeating nations that were enemies of the Israelites. However, Saul was disobedient and it was not long before he was rejected by God and began a path of ruin. King Saul made many mistakes before the Lord, and he had a sad end. The figure of the courageous man was replaced by the figure of a troubled, envious, cowardly man who had no fear of God. Thus, his life came to an end in a battle against the Philistines, and King David reigned in his place.
