Self-driving cars could be a huge step towards independence for people like Pearl who has to rely on others to stay mobile. But her mother Ruth remains skeptical. She’s not alone with her opinion. Many people have reservations when it comes to self-driving cars. Hyundai is working with its autonomous driving technology partner, Motional, to develop an IONIQ 5 robotaxi that will address mobility challenges in support of Hyundai Motor Company’s objective to provide freedom of mobility to all.
