Jane Njeri: Now I dream of playing for Barcelona

Jane Njeri, a five-year-old from Eldoret, Kenya, lost her father in the post-election violence in 2007. Through the years, her interest in football did not wane. In 2016, she got a full scholarship to join Njabini Girls Secondary School. Her coach, Emman Gullit, noticed her talent and encouraged her to set up a team to participate in the 2018 Chapa Dimba na Safaricom tournament. Njeri's talent grew and she became the top scorer at the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom national finals, second edition. She was rewarded with a 10-day trip to Spain for professional training. After the trip, she was called to the national women's team, Harambee Starlets, and made the final squad to Turkey. She now plays for Falling Waters FC in Nyahururu and hopes to play professionally for FC Barcelona in future. Watch the video to learn more on Jane Njeri's grit to play for Barcelona.
