बागपत के बड़ौत में किन्नर समाज के दो गुटों के बीच बधाई मांगने के क्षेत्र को लेकर ऐसा बवाल मचा कि मामला सीधे कोतवाली तक पहुंच गया.. आरोप है कि इस विवाद में एक किन्नर जिसका नाम करीना किन्नर बताया जा रहा है, उसके साथ बेरहमी से मारपीट की गई और उसकी चोटी और बाल तक काट दिए गए..किन्नर समाज में बाल और चोटी को सम्मान और पहचान का प्रतीक माना जाता है..ऐसे में इस घटना ने पूरे मामले को और भी ज़्यादा संवेदनशील बना दिया है..बताया जा रहा है कि बड़ौत कोतवाली क्षेत्र में असगर ग्रुप और बिट्टू पक्ष के बीच लंबे समय से बधाई मांगने के इलाके को लेकर तनातनी चल रही थी.. बधाई का क्षेत्र किन्नर समाज में सिर्फ कमाई का जरिया नहीं..बल्कि परंपरागत अधिकार और वर्चस्व से भी जुड़ा होता है..सूत्रों के मुताबिक, बिट्टू किन्नर पक्ष के किन्नर एक गांव में बधाई मांगने पहुंचे थे..इसी दौरान असगर ग्रुप के सदस्यों ने उन्हें रोक लिया और करीना नाम की किन्नर को बाहरी बताते हुए विरोध शुरू कर दिया..देखते ही देखते बहस झगड़े में बदली और झगड़ा हिंसा में..आरोप है कि करीना के साथ मारपीट की गई, जिससे उसकी पीठ पर गहरे चोट के निशान पड़े..सबसे गंभीर आरोप यह है कि मारपीट के दौरान उसकी चोटी काट दी गई और बाल भी काट डाले गए..इस घटना ने विवाद को और भड़का दिया..घटना के बाद दोनों गुट सीधे कोतवाली पहुंच गए..कोतवाली परिसर में घंटों तक नारेबाजी, आरोप-प्रत्यारोप और तीखी बहस का दौर चलता रहा..माहौल इतना गर्म हो गया कि पुलिस को बीच-बचाव करना पड़ा..
