Join me in this episode where on October 4th, 2025, I arrived in Casablanca, Morocco. Just 24 hours earlier, the city—and much of the country—had been rocked by massive "GenZ 212" protests that turned into violent riots in several districts. With reports of three people killed and hundreds arrested, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Despite the bleak news reports, I decided to stay. I spent the night stealth camping in my VW Camper, parked right in the shadow of the iconic Hassan II Mosque. While I didn't see the rioting firsthand, the heavy security presence and the eerie quiet of the streets told a different story. In this video, I share the reality of overlanding in Morocco during a time of civil unrest. Is it safe to camp on the street when a city is on edge? Here is my experience.
