Being a gamer isn't cheap, with some of the biggest games on the market sometimes costing north of £60 - and that's just for the standard edition. But the CEO of Kepler Interactive, publisher behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, told the BBC's Laura Cress why they decide to sell their games for around £40. Alexis Garavaryan also explained why he thinks gamers are moving away from buying into the AAA model of gaming and more towards games that give them an "exceptional experience". He also discussed the firm's view of generative AI, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 had its 2025 Indie Game Awards stripped, including Game of the Year, due to the developer Sandfall Interactive using the technology for temporary placeholder textures in 2022.
