[PL] Spotkanie z Andrzejem Bartkowiakiem – legendarnym operatorem i reżyserem Hollywood – odbyło się z okazji odsłonięcia jego gwiazdy w Polskiej Alei Gwiazd na ul. Piotrkowskiej w Łodzi. Wydarzenie, organizowane w ramach projektu Łódź Miasto Filmu UNESCO, przyciągnęło liczne grono fanów, którzy mieli okazję zobaczyć twórcę na żywo oraz uczestniczyć w specjalnym Q&A w kinie NCKF. Andrzej Bartkowiak ma w dorobku zdjęcia do takich hitów jak „Czułe słówka”, „Werdykt”, „Honor Prizzich”, a także kultowych produkcji: „Speed: Niebezpieczna prędkość”, „Bliźniaki”, „Upadek”, „Adwokat diabła”, „Zabójcza broń 4”. W tym roku mija 25 lat od jego debiutu reżyserskiego filmem „Romeo musi umrzeć”. Następnie stworzył m.in. „Mroczną dzielnicę”, „Od kołyski aż po grób”, „Doom” i inne filmy akcji, które na trwałe zapisały się w historii popkultury. Gwiazda reżysera została wmurowana przy ul. Piotrkowskiej 64. [ENG] A special meeting with Andrzej Bartkowiak – the legendary Hollywood cinematographer and director – took place on the occasion of unveiling his star in the Polish Walk of Fame on Piotrkowska Street in Łódź. The event, organized as part of the Łódź UNESCO City of Film program, attracted many cinema fans who had the chance to meet the filmmaker in person and join a dedicated Q&A session at the NCKF cinema. Andrzej Bartkowiak’s impressive body of work includes cinematography for major hits such as “Terms of Endearment,” “The Verdict,” “Prizzi’s Honor,” as well as iconic blockbusters like “Speed,” “Twins,” “Falling Down,” “The Devil’s Advocate,” and “Lethal Weapon 4.” This year marks 25 years since his directorial debut with the film “Romeo Must Die.” He went on to direct titles such as “Cradle 2 the Grave,” “Exit Wounds,” “Doom,” and other action films that left a lasting mark on pop culture. The director’s star was embedded at 64 Piotrkowska Street. Following the official ceremony, attendees took part in a meeting with Andrzej Bartkowiak, the recorded interview above, and a special screening of “The Devil’s Advocate,” directed by Taylor Hackford.
