#thinklikeahorse #ItIsNeverTheHorsesFault http://www.thinklikeahorse.org/ - When I was leaving for this ride a woman saw Buddy running free and had to yell at me that it was dangerous to let a horse run lose. So as I riding, I thought I would do a short video on why this is not only good for the horse but fun to watch and enjoy. This is an example of using a horse's natural herd instincts to have fun and play with your horses. Knowing a horse takes TIME, so many people think they know horses and want to tell you how much they know about horses but can't do much with a horse or does not have much success with horses, why is that. Perception is reality, people think something is true so to them it is true. Anyone watching my videos who sit back and wish don't get it. Anyone can do anything I do with horses but it takes time. Time studying, time watching horses, time hanging out with horses, time working with horses, time learning from the horse, but most people have many more excuses than time. In this video which was five minutes, but my ride lasted a couple of hours, Buddy was constant entertainment. He was rolling, he was jumping ditches, the was slipping and sliding down ditches, he would get distracted and forget to keep up and then when he noticed that Mr. T and was too far he would whinny buck run and act like a crazy wild horse running full blast to catch up and pass us. Buddy go more exercise if I rode him in circles in a arena for 6 hours. He learned that it was OK to be free, he learned to stay with us without ME making him, I did not make him do anything in this ride, he learned and I just make it easy for him to learn and stayed out of him way. Too often people can't do this with horses, they are too scared and too worried about protecting and saving the poor stupid horses. Give your horse some credit, if you never trust your horse he will know it and neither of you will grow. Trust your horse and your horse will trust you.
